Ten Years ago my wife gave me a Border Collie. These are very high energy dogs that require a lot of direction and training. So while surfing the Internet looking for something for my dog to do, I discovered the Dog Sport of Flyball. I went to a seminar and learned how dogs race in this sport. My Border Collie is a natural. I also discovered that I could make my own equipment. The next thing I knew, people were asking me to make their equipment, and my online business was born. While pondering a computer logname that was unique and different, my neighbor suggested the name Excess Energy, which is what a Border Collie is all about. It took just a few keystrokes to come up with eXCess EneRGY, so that is how xcergy.com was born :-) Has business gone to the dogs? Not at all, for if it wasn't for my dog, I would not be in business!
